Asia Property at Bangkok Design Week 2025: YOM PA (Pocket Forest)

At Bangkok Design Week 2025, Asia Property presents its environmental vision through YOM PA (Pocket Forest)—a pavilion that reinterprets the relationship between urban living and nature. Spanning 126 square meters, the installation transforms two familiar Thai cultural activities—graphic stamping and Gashapon (Japanese capsule toy machines)—into an interactive exploration of ecological awareness. More than an exhibition, the pavilion embodies a philosophy: “A property developer’s role extends beyond building houses—it’s about shaping meaningful environments.”

Visually, the structure is conceived as an abstracted forest, a 13x9 meter architectural ‘slice’ of nature. Layers of translucent red fabric, cut into stylized tree silhouettes, wrap the pavilion, creating an interplay of depth, shadow, and movement. By day, sunlight filters through, shifting the perception of density and openness; by night, artificial lighting casts dramatic silhouettes, transforming the space into an illuminated woodland. The result is an ephemeral, immersive experience—an architectural statement that challenges how we perceive and integrate nature into the built environment.
