super skywalk

it’s time to design our future

We participate in Bangkok Art and Cultural Center’s latest exhibition “Let’s Panic” as one of the artists. Our piece is called “Super Skywalk”, a visionary mega compound building merged with network of elevated pedestrians. The Super Skywalk is a building for Bangkok in the future where ground surface has been reclaimed by WATER.

In the not-so-distant future, Thai cities will ascend into the skies, designed to combat rising sea levels and erratic weather patterns. As the relentless waters claim our current lands, we will engineer our new foundations above ground. These futuristic cities will emerge from a network of buildings that lean into each other, creating connections high in the air. Imagine a sprawling metropolis that resembles the intertwining roots of a colossal tree, endlessly expanding both horizontally and vertically.

Our cityscape will be a marvel of architectural innovation and human ingenuity. Construction will be an ongoing endeavor, with bridges and pathways constantly evolving, becoming larger and more intricate. These colossal sky-walks will not only serve as conduits for urban transport systems but will also transform into dynamic public spaces. Picture vast aerial plazas where people gather, markets suspended in the sky, and parks that float above the ground, offering respite from the bustling city life below.

The buildings themselves will be more than mere structures; they will be living entities, equipped with advanced technologies that adapt to environmental changes. Walls will breathe, windows will filter pollution, and roofs will harness solar energy. These intelligent edifices will communicate with each other, forming a cohesive network that ensures the city’s sustainability and resilience.

In this aerial metropolis, transportation will transcend traditional methods. Hovercraft and drones will zip through the air, ferrying people and goods with unmatched efficiency. Personal flight devices will allow residents to glide from one towering structure to another, making commuting a seamless experience. The sky-walks themselves will be multi-layered, accommodating various modes of transport on different levels—from pedestrian pathways to high-speed transit systems.

As night falls, the city will transform into a spectacle of light and energy. Luminescent pathways will guide travelers, while holographic displays project information and art into the air. The skyline will shimmer with bioluminescent gardens, and buildings will pulse with the rhythm of the city’s life. It will be a place where technology and nature coexist in harmony, creating an environment that is both futuristic and deeply connected to the natural world.
